Nothing beats Savings! list of ways to save money...
Savings beats poverty.
Savings beats insecurity.
Savings beats instability.
Let's talk about money.
Are you ready to save for your future? Here's how...
Some says "make your today as if your last day on earth".
"Well of course if you literary know that today will be your last day on earth because of doctor told you so then enjoy your every minute my friend. Enjoy every penny you have. If your not like this then continue to read."
Life is not always focus on today. In fact today will determine your tomorrow. I will give you a scenario. You have received a windfall of bonus from your company and you're a kind of person who enjoys shopping, bar hopping, travel and etc. Embracing the wisdom "make your today as if your last day on earth" so you enjoy yourself and spend all your money once and for all and feels like no tomorrow. This is a very bad idea. Savings will help you for your unknown future needs.
Here's some tips to give you a fat pocket.
Order water
If your in the restaurant or decided to dinner out, lunch out or whatever you call it. Do not order soda as your drinks, order a tap water instead. Water is free while buying your usual soda will cause you money and it will do no good to your body anyway.
Shopping list
If your doing your shopping, make sure you bring a shopping list. This is to avoid going part of a store finding what you need and you suddenly like what you see and buy it. Having a shopping list is the best idea specially for our compulsive buyers. Just go to specific store and only buy what you need according to the list.
After 30 Days
Every human being has a Want of buying of something outside their basic needs. Some are gadgets or fancy clothes or signature bags or expensive shoes. Take time to buy those things and make a span of 30 days before you buying one again. Prioritize buying your basic needs first before your luxury wants. If you do this, not knowing that you know now how to prioritize your basic needs.
Online payment
Make a hobby to pay your bills online. This avoids going outside to spend money on your transportation fare or if you have a car save your gasoline to much more important travel. And sometimes when you go out, you like not to be alone so you will ask for a company. You might also see yourself spending a lunch or a snack or a dinner to both of you. Or a possibility that you will buy something you really don't need along the way. So paying online is a good tip to avoid unnecessary spending.
Credit or Cash
Another tip while your shopping is always use cash in amount less than one thousand. Remember, any little purchases can pile up your credit card bills.
Investment
The number one good investment is to pay your bills, pay your loan or any debts you may have. This is to avoid the interest that your bank will give you. For some credit card company, that is whooping 3.5% for every bill that you will not fully paid, they call it financial charge. So if you have a 10000 due, 3.5% of 10000 is a big one. So try to save it.
Don't be late
Don't be late paying your dues. This is to avoid the late penalty charge. In credit cards, late penalty charge is bigger than financial charge, some are 7%. On bank loans, this depends but some are also 7%.
Big Discount
Always aim for big discounts. Go to the store with "SALE" written in their doors. Also we have now popular online sites that gives whooping big discounts from purchasing an item or a service. They give 60% to 70% discounts. These companies aiming to gain more clients and introduce their products or services so their giving big discounts and that's for you to grab them.
Sparkling item
It's pretty normal that sometimes life teasing us and sending temptations. Especially when the times that your budget is tight. Along the way you find something that catch your interest of buying them. It's ok! Don't hurt yourself of not checking them out. Stick to the plan of LOOKING ONLY. Fine! you like it but DON'T buy it yet. Sometimes being impulsive really gets you along the way and leaves you empty handed. So, go home take a rest, eat and sleep. When you wake up and you remember the item and felt that you really really really want it then go out and buy it. But be sure you kept the promise of buying other stuff than basic needs after 30 days.
Bank
I think the number one tip that tops it all kind of saving, is to set aside a portion of you salary, lets say 5% of your every pay day or exact amount of 500. Open a savings account and deposit it. Search for a bank that requires a minimal initial deposit. In Philippines, there are banks require 500 initial deposit and 2000 maintaining balance, also give you 2 months allotment to complete the maintaining balance.
You might be thinking when and where to spend your saved money. Saving money doesn't means that your saving because of your future sickness. Though there's a chance because we are not immune to those bacteria around us but that is considered a negative thought. You might need it to buy your very much like gadget or unplanned travel with your family or friends or helping a friend/relative to their financial needs. Whatever your reason of how you spend your money, your main purpose should always be you spent it because it's IMPORTANT.
