3rd Word - 7 lasts word of Jesus on the cross

The Third Word

Jesus said to his mother: "woman, this is your son".
Then he said to his disciple: "This is your mother".

I noticed that on the times of sufferings, Jesus never forgot his mother. On his last few words, He acknowledge the presence if His mother. His mother who take care of him. His mother who loved him so much that when He fell down as a child, she put down her chores and run to Jesus and helped him stand up. A mother who cares so much and never forgets.

On the day today, that is so called 21st century, role of a mother become broad. Besides of doing chores inside the house and raising her children, she also act the role of a father and gives food in the table, shelter to live and clothes to wear. Or simply say your mother does anything for your betterment, the best for her child.

Because of technology today, information are spread out.  Information came from the internet, newspaper, television, books or around your friends. You even entered or graduated to a bigger school than your mother had, or may be you entered to a school when your mother never had. You can now live your life as how you wanted it to be. Information of "how to" is just around the corner.

Then the ChiLd forgets...

Your mother might not be modern enough, not too savvy or not too fashionista just like the children of today. Sometimes a child shout to their mother because of maybe walking is now slowing down. But the child forgets that his mother used her fastest walk just to keep him safe. Complaining too much because his mother's understanding is not sharp as he has. But the child forgets, the mother used her head a lot to keep him alive.  They often forget tthey will not be wiser, bolder, stronger if his mother not aimed to be that way.

Nowadays, its so sad that many children became disrespectful to their mothers. Remember hardship in giving birth is a curse that was given to women of earth, so imagine the pain she been through in giving birth to you. That is the first pain she had just to bring you into this world. Never forget the sufferings she had in raising you, when the times you're a  baby and can't say a word and yet she did her best understands you. The times when you had tantrums, she run off to you just to please you. The hardship of doing house chores and working hard to earn money at the same time just to fed you. And when you cry, her heart was torn apart just seeing the tears flowing down to your face, without your knowledge she cry more than you do.

Now you are grown up just the way she wanted to be. Give her a hug just like the way she hugs you to protect you from the angry dog of your neighbor. Give her a kiss, just like the way she kiss your pain off away when you are wounded because you fell down. Say thank you, just like the way how she thought your first A B C. And say I love you just like the way how she loved you from the moment she knew that you will use her belly as your first home.

Never forget. Even Jesus never forget his mother so why are you?

What do you think?
